JCMF 2025 Donation Drive and Shipping

November 10, 2025

For the eleventh year straight, the Jeggan Cole Foundation launched its annual donation drive in the summer which led to a successful collection and shipping of three wardrobe sized boxes and four 27 gallon totes of items to the Gambia at the beginning of fall.  The items mainly comprised educational materials, healthcare supplies as well as a hodgepodge of other items.

Similar to previous years, distribution of the items to students. schools and rural health centres is scheduled to take place during the Christmas festive season. In addition to our efforts this year, the elderly in our community – a critical and often forgotten group – will also benefit from the humanitarian work of the Foundation. A selected group of the elderly will each receive a Christmas hamper of freeze-dried dehydrated nutritious food items. Our work with this target group is considered necessary and is increasingly becoming an integral part of our mission. Our aim is to shine a light on this often overlooked group.

Even in the face of rising  shipping cost, the Foundation met its annual goal with support from the Lipsy family, Dr and Mrs  Peter Lipsy. Their love and support has remained unwavering over the years and relentless in their commitment to the mission of the Jeggan Cole Foundation. My profound appreciation also goes to my local church for their efforts in the donation and collection phase of the drive.

Lastly, the Foundation is confident and committed to giving hope to the otherwise hopeless as well as putting smiles on the faces of struggling students. We are incredibly grateful to everyone that participated in the entire process – collection, packing, boxing and shipping of the items. 2025 donation drive is successfully completed – glory to God almighty for His grace and favor.
